SUD Individual Therapy
One-to-one therapeutic support tailored to each person’s recovery goals, needs and circumstances, delivered by credentialed SUD staff.
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Individual Therapy at The Garage provides one-to-one therapeutic support tailored to each person's recovery goals, needs and circumstances. Sessions are led by credentialed SUD staff and grounded in the understanding that addiction is a complex, chronic condition, one that responds powerfully to consistent, personalized engagement.
Individual sessions offer a private, focused space to work through the challenges of recovery at your own pace. Whether you are in the early stages of recovery or working to maintain long-term sobriety, your counselor works with you on relapse prevention, coping strategies, emotional regulation, life skills, and building healthy relationships, always centered on your individual circumstances.
Our credentialed staff bring both clinical expertise and a deep respect for the lived experience of every person we serve. Sessions are structured around evidence-based approaches while remaining flexible enough to meet you where you are, acknowledging that no two recovery journeys look exactly alike. Confidentiality is strictly maintained, and all services are delivered in full compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
Who this service is for
SUD Individual Therapy is appropriate for adults who are actively working toward sobriety or who are in early-to-middle stages of recovery and benefit from regular, one-to-one support. This service is ideal for individuals who do not require residential or intensive inpatient treatment, and who are ready to engage in focused, personalized work on their recovery.
Why individual counseling works
Personalized focus: One-to-one sessions are tailored entirely to your history, needs, and pace.
Builds accountability: Regular sessions and shared goals create steady, positive accountability with your counselor.
Develops real-world skills: Sessions focus on practical tools you can use immediately in daily life.
Normalizes the recovery experience: A trusting therapeutic relationship reduces shame and reinforces that recovery is achievable.
Provides structured consistency: Regular sessions build the routine and stability that recovery depends on.
